Assessment Book Review
It is the time of the year when parents start preparing for another busy academic year. Being very good parents, we are extremely anxious to get the best for our child, not wanting to short-change them in this senseless rat-race.
At times we think that the more assessment books we buy the better will be their results. However, we also know that we may end up with a cabinet full of unused assessment books bought when there were special discounts. This is because our child may find some titles too easy and some too difficult.
There is a bewildering array of assessment book titles in the local bookstore. How should we as parents start? Should we select the titles based on publisher’s name, author, cover of the book, table of content, neighbours’ recommendation or should we just sit down quietly at a corner of the local bookstore browsing and comparing the books page by page to see which is more suitable for our child.
The good news is that many parents and tutors have gone through this path before and some are happy to share their experience. We have compiled their recommendations and listed out the most commonly used assessment books titles. They are arranged by their ratings, with the most popular ones on top. The parents’ reviews are appended too.
